Wisner Law Firm recently successfully resolved the US lawsuit arising from the November 2013 crash of a Fairchild Metro III aircraft at Riberalta Airport in Bolivia. Based on factual circumstances similar to the Cork Airport crash of the same make and model aircraft, Wisner Law Firm alleged that the accident was caused by a defective fuel control sensor in one of the Honeywell engines.
A confidential settlement was reached at mediation before Cook County Circuit Court Chief Judge Donald O’Connell where Wisner Law Firm was present as well as attorneys for the product manufacture defendants.
Floyd A. Wisner, Principal of Wisner Law Firm commented:
“We represented the families of five deceased passengers and four surviving passengers – all citizens of Bolivia. Most of the families of the deceased passengers lost their sole income earners. This confidential settlement will greatly improve their quality of life, which has diminished since the accident.”
