A lawsuit arising from February 2011 crash of Manx2 Flight 7100 at Cork Airport settles
Wisner Law Firm and Stewarts Law LLP have been successful this week in resolving the US lawsuit brought by families and survivors of the February 2011 crash of a Manx2 airliner at Cork Airport in Ireland.
Dickens, et al. v. M7 Aerospace, et al. was filed in Cook County, Illinois on behalf of plaintiffs, including injured passengers and families of deceased passengers, seeking compensation for the damages arising from the crash of the Fairchild Metro III aircraft. A defect in the fuel control sensor of one of the Honeywell engines was attributed as a cause of the crash by the Air Accident Investigation Unit Ireland.
A mediation between counsel for plaintiffs, Wisner Law Firm and Stewarts Law, and counsel for the product manufacturers was successfully concluded this week in Chicago on confidential terms with Cook County Circuit Court Chief Judge Donald O’Connell acting as mediator.
Floyd A. Wisner, Principal of Wisner Law Firm commented:
“The families who lost their loved ones and the passengers that survived the 2011 crash at Cork Airport have sought compensation for the past five years. James Healy-Pratt and I are pleased with the settlement of the lawsuit and the confidential compensation we have obtained for our clients. We hope that this provides our clients with some closure and helps prevent similar accidents in the future.”
