On March 22, 2014, a Cessna 206 aircraft being used for commercial parachuting operations crashed in Coobulture, Queensland, Australia. On takeoff from Caboolture Airfield, the pilot’s seat suddenly and unexpectedly slid backward and, with the pilot’s hands on the control column, the aircraft was caused to go into a nose-up position and stall and then sharply bank and crash. The pilot, two parachuting instructors, and two tandem parachutists on board perished.
